Following on from our performances in Odiham and Runnymede for the Odiham Magna Carta Society, on Saturday 13th June we played two sets at Egham's Magna Carta Day celebrations. This was really a homecoming for the project as it all started with Jenny's commision from Egham Museum to write some songs to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta. 

 

We performed twice as a duo on the Literary Institute stage and Jenny also performed two short acoustic sets in the United Church of Egham. Our first set on the Literary Institute stage was punctuated by presentation from the team behind the Magna Carta Giants, some giant puppets created by some local school children. Our second set included some additional songs from Jenny's wider repertoire and all performances were warmly received by the audiences.
