Magna Carta Through Song

Magna Carta Through Song: Matt's Diary (Sunday 7th June 2015)
Following on from our performances in Odiham on Bank Holiday Monday, on Sunday 7th June we performed at Odiham's Runnymede Picnic. We really enjoyed visiting Runnymede again after the time we spent there last summer recording demos and researching the history behind Magna Carta.
Our first performance was on the Runnymede Pleasure Ground. We performed several songs near to King John's tent (re-enactment by Feudals) before moving to the shade of a tree to play several more. We then moved on to the 'Lady Margaret Anne', a private charter boat booked by the Odiham Magna Carta Society, and played to a very appreciative audience as they cruised down the River Thames (we even had a child from Mayhill Junior School singing along in the front row). Our final performance was in front of the Magna Carta Memorial.
Thank-you to John Champion and everyone from Odiham for making us feel so welcome.
